Sumner Redcliffs Anglican Church

E te whānau a te Karaiti,

I need to share with you that Rick has decided it's time for a change and so will be moving on from his staff role as Lay Pastoral Assistant.

Rick writes:

“Jo and I have been praying together about the future and we both feel that it is time for a change so I would like to offer my resignation as lay pastoral assistant. I would like to thank you and the vestry for the privilege of serving in this role and for the time spent in different roles with a variety of people over the last 14 years. Jo and I are looking forward to a new season.”

I write with some sadness because Rick has been a deeply valued and integral part of the Sumner-Redcliffs team for the past 14 years, first serving as Parish Secretary, then Parish Manager, and then as Lay Pastoral Assistant.

On behalf of the Wardens and Vestry I'd like to thank Rick for his dedication and service in these roles and wish him all the best. Please also join me in praying for both Rick and Jo as they transition into this next chapter of life and ministry.

There will be an opportunity, on Sunday 13 October during the1030am service, to gather in prayer and gratitude for all Rick has contributed to our Parish family.

Rick will continue in his role until Sunday 13 October, after which he will take annual leave through to Monday 11 November 2024. If you would like to contribute towards a gift you can do soon line using “RICK” as the reference: 03-1590-0018001-00. Alternatively you can drop money to Amanda in the office.

Ngā mihi,
Harry Lokolong
