The night before his crucifixion, Jesus used imagery from the Jewish holiday Passover to explain how his love and sacrifice would usher in a new Kingdom for the world. He instructed them to love one another as he had loved them in order to participate in his radical Kingdom. So today, let’s consider how the self-giving love of Jesus compels us to love others as we have been loved:
