Rev Mike & the team at St John's Church Woolston have asked me to pass on their heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support of their foodbank.
They've seen a steady increase in the number of people seeking assistance + it's been an awesome opportunity for them to put their faith into action in the local community.
This year we intend to continue to support the Woolston Foodbank and your ongoing support is so appreciated.
However, I'm keen to take things up a notch a little.
Last year I shared a vision for our Parish which focusses on being Servant Hearted, Connected, and Outward Focused (more details to come in the very near future as we have some pretty exciting stuff in the pipeline...). So this year I would love to see us move beyond only collecting food at services and begin collecting food from the wider community.
And this is where you come in because I could do with some help building two collection bins which can be placed outside our two worship centers. If this is something you're keen and able to help me with please let me know!
By doing this we can widen our net for support for this important ministry + increase our profile in our own neighbourhood.
